Karaoke Gang

First at the Alex (on Tuesday nights), then later every Thursday night, Gerrie went to the Maroochy Surf Club to sing and have fun with the Karaoke night. Because Gerrie couldn't work with a band (remember, he has no work permit), this was his way of keeping his performance skills live !! We made some real friends there. The last Thursday night before we left was quite special, Kate and Maddie even dedicated a "farewell" song (the carnival is over) to me and Gerrie, changing the word "carnival" to "Karaoke" and David and Gerrie instead of the names in the original Lyrics. The high point of the evening, was Gerrie's performance of the Sex Pistols song "My Way" ..... (the Sid Vicious version)
Oh yes, behind the black windows (its night time) .... is a beautiful sandy beach, with great surf. Just like at the Alex Surf Club. |
